Vape Tips: Producing Clouds

Producing Clouds

We’ve all seen them; those obnoxious Vapers unleashing giant plumes of vapor in public places. Don’t worry! It’s okay to be envious of their clouds. In this article we will cover how you can maximize your vapor discharge, we simply ask that you try to be respectful of your surroundings!

There are 3 main contributing factors that determine your plumage; Airflow, Power, and E-Juice.

Increased airflow means more cooling capacity, which leads to more vapor. By increasing the amount of air going over your coil, your giving the device the chance to condensate more vapor. Air flowing rapidly across the coil removes “old” vapor, and allows it to be replaced by “new” vapor. This means you get more vapor than you would by having less airflow, because you’re providing a constant supply of fresh air.

Power is relatively simply; More power = bigger clouds. If you vape at 50W you will get bigger clouds than you would at 30W (Assuming same tank & e-juice). When you increase the power running through your coil, you also increase the amount of heat generated (which is another reason to increase airflow).

The final factor is your E-juice. As I’m sure we’ve mentioned before, E-juice is comprised of 2 main ingredients. Vegetable Glycerine (VG) and Propylene Glycol (PG). PG is responsible for your “throat hit” and VG is responsible for the vapor. 70VG/30PG is basically industry standard at this point, and delivers the best of both worlds in regards to cloud production and flavor. That said, if you were trying to win a cloud competition, it is recommended to use a 100% VG E-juice.
